BCCA’s volunteers provide services that help low-income older adults maintain their independence in the community. Individuals or groups can volunteer one time or with an on-going commitment.

Volunteer opportunities and services include:

• Yard care (mowing, leaf raking, snow shoveling)
• Minor home repair
• Food pantry deliveries
• Transportation for grocery shopping and medical appointments
• Friendly visiting
• Telephone reassurance

After filling out a Volunteer Application and before being matched with a senior, volunteers are interviewed, go through a background check, and receive annual training from the BCCA staff.
